Events in Barcelona – July 2016

GREC Festival of Barcelona

When: Friday 1st to Sunday 31st of July
Where: The Greek Theatre in Montjuic
This year will be the 40th time that GREC takes place and is therefore one of the leading shows in Catalonia. The show features music, theatre, dance, circus and so on. The great cultural attraction is to support Catalan artists and local production. Click here for more information or tickets.

Music in the Parks

When: From the last week of June until the end of August
Where: Parks in Barcelona
With the aim of bringing high quality music for everyone, ten years ago, ‘Music in the Parks’ was born. The summer concerts in green spaces of Barcelona are free and for everyone who wants to have a good time. The festival features around 20 concerts of different styles like classical, jazz, local bands etc. Popular parks are Ciutadella Park, l’Estacio del Nord Park, Barceloneta Park, Turo Park, Park de les Aigues del Guinardó and many more.

Cruilla Music Festival

When: Friday 8th to Sunday 10th of July
Where: Parc del Forum in Diagonal Mar area of Barcelona
The Cuilla Music festival has grown to one of Barcelona’s best events, attracting around 30 000 fans. For 80 euros you can join this summer event for 3 days, while only one day would cost you 50 euros. Click here for more information or tickets.

Rockfest Barcelona

When: Friday 15th to Sunday 17th of July
Where: Parc de Cam Zam in Sta Coloma de Gramenet near Barcelona
For those who like heavy rock, this 3 day festival might be a good idea. Famous bands like SLAYER, King Diamond, Iron Maiden, Amon Amarth, Twisted Sister and many more will be rocking on stage. Click here for more information or tickets.

Barcelona Beach Festival

Where: Forum Beach

San Miguel Mas i Mas Festival

When: Thursday 28th of July to Thursday 1st September – Still to be confirmed
Where: Various Venues
The festival of San Miguel completes the summer of Barcelona. It all started with Latin sounds but has now broadened to offer a little bit of everything: from classical music to flamenco, from R&B to Jazz or Electronic. During the hottest month of the year, a wide variety of concerts with good music fills small venues like ‘Jamboree’ or ‘Tarantos’, with both locals and tourists attending. There will also be some bigger stages like the opening party on the 28th of July and closing party on the 1st of September, which will be held at the ‘Palau de la Musica Catalana’.
