Festa Major de la Barceloneta
When: Late September and early October
From the moment fireworks are shot off on the beach, the party can start! Barceloneta hosts an incredible week with music, acrobatic groups, dancing, free tasting of traditional bread, a 24-hour football tournament, fire-breathing dragons, an open-air cinema, bouncy castles and sweets flying through the air. The Color Run Barcelona
When: 2nd of October
Where: Fòrum Park
Around 20 000 persons are joining this colorful and amusing run every year. For 20 euro every participant get a colorful bag with a t-shirt, a bandeau, 2 tattoos and some gifts from sponsors. After every km, from a total of 5 km, a different color will rain over the crowd. Those who arrive at the finish will get an extra kit with some water and, most important, a bag with colors! Let the craziness start! Like the start and finish, a concert will take place at the Fòrum park. Children under 9 years old can join for free, and children under 13 years pay less. For 3 weeks long, the festival of experimental music and art will be organized in Gracia for the 21st time. The concerts are usually free and include Jazz, Rock and Electronic music. Click here for more information.
International Jazz Festival

Where: Various venues
The festival offers swing dancing and big-band concerts but the main concept is to embrace everything related to Jazz; from gospel to bepop. There will be events in different venues in town, but you need an individual ticket for all of them. Click here for more information.

On Halloween, ‘La Castanyada’, there will be several celebrations in Barcelona. In Poble Espanyol, for example, there is a Halloween party fun for children. At Sagrada Family there are several activities that show how different cultures celebrate the night. After Picnic & Brunch Electronic, now Pumpkin Electronic is a new concept in Barcelona: a Halloween party for those who like electronic music. For Basketball lovers, Bastketween is a perfect idea. You get the opportunity to see a basketball match of FC Barcelona, with the stadium totally decorated in the Halloween theme.
Mercat de Mercats
Where: Av. de la Cathedral
The annual outdoor food market features delicious sweets and savories, which are fresh and colorful. The three-day gastronomic festival in the center of the gothic quarter gives 50 local producers and some top chefs the opportunity to present its Mediterranean and Catalan food. There will be hold workshops and tasting sessions of wines, cavas, oils and cheeses. Besides the market, also other city bars, restaurants and wine cellars take part on the festival.
