Which football fan doesn’t dream of watching a game of the FC Barcelona or Real Madrid C.F. live in the stadium? Which football fan doesn’t dream of watching a game of Barça against Madrid live in the stadium? I think you all agree if I say that for every football fan it’s the ultimate thing, a dream, to see both teams competing against each other live.

On Thursday, 23rd of August it was time to let dreams come true. The Super Cup between the FC Barcelona and Real Madrid C.F. was scheduled for this day at 10.30pm. We were lucky to hear about the game one month earlier so it was no problem to get tickets.

We left home late so we had to hurry a bit to get to the Camp Nou. The metro was of course packed with football fans everywhere. Our way from the Metro station to the stadium was already an impressive thing to see. Thousands of people streamed to the entrances to witness this sporting spectacle. We joined them and got caught in a very special, unique atmosphere.

Once we were in the stadium we had to find our seats. We climbed up the pairs of stairs until we reached the final level. Then we stepped outside to the tribune. That was amazing! A lot of people had already sat on their seats (there were just 45 minutes left until the tingler) and the players of both teams were on the field. We sat very high and had an impressive view over the whole Camp Nou. Before the game started we enjoyed the atmosphere and waved our small Barça flags which lay on every seat. More than 90,000 fans were present to support their favourite teams.

10.25pm. The Barça fans sang their songs and the teams came out of their locker rooms onto the field. 10.30pm: The tingler. Now it was all about Visca Barça. Admittedly, I don’t know a lot about football so I won’t bore you with the match details. The first half Madrid didn’t do a lot so after 45 minutes it was still 0 – 0. The second half was by far more interesting and exciting. Minute 55: Ronaldo scored the first goal for his team. What a big disappointment for the FC Barcelona. But that didn’t last long. Just 60 seconds later it was Pedro’s turn and he equalised to 1 – 1. After that goal Barça scored 2 more. Messi in minute 68 and Xavi in minute 77. But Madrid didn’t want to admit its defeat. 5 minutes before the end Di Maria scored the last goal of the match. But it was too late for them. The final score was 3-2 and the FC Barcelona could pocket their first victory of the season against  Real Madrid.

After the game we stayed some more minutes in the stadium to make some photos, at least we had to capture this precious evening in the Camp Nou.

The only thing that remains to be said for me now is: “Ser del Barça es el millor que hi ha!
